-Missy Armitage

The premise: A young interracial couple (Chris and Rose) visits the estate of Rose's parents, with the experience justifiably leaving Chris feeling very uneasy.

My Familiarity With the Movie: Heard about the critical and audience acclaim when it was released, and a friend also recommended it to me.

31 Days of Horror 2017, Day 2: Blood: The Last Vampire (2000)

“Don't ever piss her off again! As far as we know, she's the only remaining original!”
-David

Directed by: Hiroyuki Kitakubo

Starring: Yûki Kudô, Saemi Nakamura, Joe Romersa, Rebecca Forstadt, Stuart Robinson, Akira Koieyama, Tom Fahn, Fitz Houston, Steve Blum, Paul Carr

Trailer/Video: Here

The premise: A girl named Saya is sent undercover to a high school to hunt demons called chiropterans. That's pretty much it.

My Familiarity With the Movie: I'm vaguely aware of the spinoff series, but the movie was recommended to me by a friend.

2017 Movie Master List!

Here's where the links to all this year's reviews will go.

31 Days of Horror 2017, Day 1: Stephen King’s “It”, Episode 1 (1990)

“Oh, yes... They float, Georgie... They float... and when you're down here with me... YOU FLOAT TOO! ”
-"Pennywise, the Dancing Clown"

Directed by: Tommy Lee Wallace

Starring:  Harry Anderson, Dennis Christopher, Richard Masur, Annette O'Toole, Tim Reid, John Ritter, Richard Thomas, Tim Curry

Trailer/Video: Here

The premise: A librarian discovers that a little girl’s murder is the work of an evil shapeshifting clown that terrorized him and his friends when they were children. Now, he’s calling said friends to come together and stop it again.

My Familiarity With the Series: My mother is a big-time Stephen King fan, so I was well aware of this thing’s existence even as a child, though I admit that the recent film adaptation is what finally got me interested in watching the 1990 miniseries.

First post Q&A!

What is this?
Every day in October, I watch a horror movie. And I’ll post a review and stuff on it here. Hence the 31 Days of Horror.

...in retrospect, I guess I didn’t need to explain that.

Who are you?

I'm Chris. How ya doin'? I’ve got a webcomic.
